The asphalt shingle roof of this home in Whitehouse, Texas had sustained hail damage that caused shingle loss and leaks. After the initial roof inspection, the problem areas were covered with tarps to prevent further damage. The insurance company determined that a complete roof replacement was required for the home.
We worked with the homeowner and insurance adjuster to get the claim processed quickly and efficiently. Once the roofing materials arrived and the removal of the old roof began, we discovered additional damage to some of the decking. New decking was installed before the new underlayment was installed.
Additionally, during the replacement it was discovered that the flashing was improperly installed when the house was built. These issues were corrected as well as the proper installation of a new drip edge. At Steele Roofing we don’t just replace the old with the new, we make sure everything is done according to roofing industry best practices and standards.
After the new roof was installed, the yard was cleaned up checking for stray nails and hauling off all of the debris.
